Tips For Raising a Chihuahua.

Sometimes called a Pomchi or a Chiranian, the Chihuahua Pomeranian mix isn't a breed itself, but is a mix of a Pomeranian and a Chihuahua. Chihuahua gifts. The tail is medium in length and is carried in the loop over the back or flat but should not ever be tucked between the legs. The coat may be a double coat like that found on the Pomeranian or it might be a single coat. It is generally at least medium length, though I do see some that have short hair very similar to a short haired Chihuahua. They generally have quite a hairy tail characteristic of the Pomeranian. Though each dog is individual, sometimes the Chihuahua Pomeranian mix will have much the same personality traits of his mum and dad. In general both Chihuahuas and Pomeranians are extremely perceptive dogs that love to be with their family and are great lapdogs. They can learn tricks extremely simply, however housetraining might be a challenge. When coaching any tiny dog like this you want to remember that coaching with kindness is best. So one thing you have to be careful of is to never let your Chihuahua outside by himself. If your Chihuahua is still a puppy, you have got to provide him with a sensible diet. From a quarter to 6 months old, reduce his meal to 3 times a day. After six months, 2 meals per day is acceptable for his food wants till he reaches one year old.

One feeding each day is acceptable after your Chihuahua is a year old.

Hard food might be the best choice for your Chi as some dogs of this breed have a hard time digesting canned food and can develop gut rot as a consequence. Chihuahua aren't only charming but also they are simple to look after. It is advised that anybody raising a Chihuahua wash them once in a month. Over showering could take away the natural oils from their furs and would also cause dandruff. If the ears occur to become wet they could cause a hideous infection. This includes not only taking him to the vet annually to have his teeth checked and to have any tartar scraped, but also regular brushing. There's even a special club for this cross-breed called the Pomchi Club Of America.
