Tips For Raising a Chihuahua.

The tiny standing of the Chihuahua makes it a dog of choice for someone that is short on space but long on the need to have a delightful pet.

One thing about chihuahuas is they are very protecting and do not appear to realize that they're so miniscule. They haven't any qualms taking on the largest dog on the block, and due to this you actually need to keep a keen watch on him. So one thing you need to be careful of is to never let your Chihuahua outside by himself. Take note that he has different food necessities dependent on his age. From a quarter to six months old, reduce his meal to 3 times each day. One feeding every day is appropriate after your Chihuahua is a year old. It is usually recommended that any one raising a Chihuahua wash them once in a month. It may also be a uncooperative tiny dog and these reasons mix to make housebreaking a Chihuahua extremely troublesome. Never feed your dog or permit it to have water before you crate it for the night, as it wont be ready to hold everything in till morning. Avoid using litter for the litter box and instead fill it with shredded papers or other organic filler like that. Over washing could take away the natural oils from their furs and would also cause dandruff. If the ears occur to become wet they could cause a hideous infection. Be certain to watch your chi conscientiously, and if you spot any difficulty walking, get him checked out by a vet.
