Getting a New Dog? Four things to think about First!

I use Dachshund and Chihuahua as a footing for starters because my small dog, Hollie, I suspect is part Dachshund and part Chihuahua.

When I found her at a rescue, the info I received was that she used to be a 4 month old small Dachshund. I also found her quirks to be mixed between the 2 breeds too. This has a tendency to make them mulish and / or independent. Though the Dachshund is trainable they may not be easy to coach. As an important point the Dachshund may try to train its coach. The owner of this breed should be snug letting the dog know just who the "leader of the pack " truly is.

The unrelenting temperament of this dog makes them resistant and not the best to housetrain. The incontrovertible fact that Chihuahuas are so tiny makes house-training them a little challenging. The Chihuahua will learn quickly with positive beefing up coaching. The Chihuahua doesn't like the cold and has a tendency to shiver. They don't like to get their feet wet so going outside to damp grown or wet grass deter the Chihuahua from going outside to potty. They bring a lot of joy and like to your life, but also need plenty of work and attention. There are certain breeds that are famous for their patience with kids, while others offer protection from strangers. It'll also help to get you prepared for a strong fellowship with the latest member of your folks. The second is to paper or pup pad train your dog. Click now for latest articles on chihuahua history. Therefore when she probably did go outside she would use the terrace instead of the grass and the carpet piece outside the door as her potty.
